Dinner with Shelley Husband
Starting 7th November
Drop-inIf you have booked a class or two with Shelley then you are welcome to join Shelley, Sarah and Cheryl for dinner at the Ball and Chain on 7 November at 6.15pm. This is a great opportunity to share relaxed time with Shelley and fellow crocheters over some food and a beverage or two. Bookings for this event will close on 24 October 2026. A reservation fee of $20.00 will need to be paid to secure your spot. Your reservation fee goes towards the shared entree plates. Please advise dietary requirements when you book. All other food or drink consumed will be at your own cost. By purchasing a ticket to this event, you are confirmed a spot. If you are unable to attend, let us know and if we can fill your spot we'll refund your ticket (minus the transaction fees). If we are not able to fill your spot, We won't be able to refund your ticket.
Cultivate Granny Square Skills
Starting 7th November
Drop-inShelley has been down a couple of times and we have heard people ask for a more advanced workshop. So here it is! This is a SKILL BUILDING workshop so you can expand your Granny Square repertoire. This workshop is for experienced/confident crocheters who want to dive into texture and intricate details. You will explore complicated stitch variations and unique techniques using some of the new complex blooms from Granny Square Garden. Skills Needed: Confident with reading patterns and charts and most crochet stitches and techniques. What to Bring: 100 grams solid coloured 8 ply yarn of any fibre 4.5 mm hook scissors & yarn needle crochet stitch markers NOTE - On Saturday this workshop is being held at 16 Smith Street, North Hobart. The Sunday workshop is being held at The Meeting Room, Salamanca Arts Centre, Level 1, 77 Salamanca Place, Hobart Salamanca Wool Shop Loyalty Members are not able to apply for a discount on these workshop fees.
Plant Granny Square Seeds

Drop-inThis workshop has been created for those who have been crocheting but want to up their skills beyond the basics. Join Shelley to demystify written patterns and crochet charts using new granny squares from Granny Square Garden. You’ll be led by Shelley, step-by-step so you can learn how to tackle adventurous patterns with total confidence. Skills needed: Can crochet a traditional granny square. Salamanca Wool Shop Loyalty Members are not able to apply for a discount on these workshop fees.
Myriad Cowl
Starting 8th November
Drop-inTo support those who would like to move from feeling like a beginner and those who need a confident boost in their crochet skills. Join Shelley in this project based workshop to bring a new twist to your crochet. You’ll make a start on a double-sided Möbius cowl using two new patterns from Granny Square Garden. Skills needed: Can read a pattern or chart. Familiar with most crochet stitches and techniques. What to bring: 2 x 100 grams solid coloured 4 ply yarn of any fibre – 2 colours 4 mm hook scissors & yarn needle crochet stitch markers Salamanca Wool Shop Loyalty Members are not able to apply for a discount on these workshop fees.
